性质：该品为白色或灰色针状结晶，常含半分子结晶水。能溶于热亚硫酸氢钠和碱溶液，不溶于冷的乙醇、乙醚、苯，微溶于水。在空气中变为粉红色，潮湿时更甚。碱溶液在空气中很快地氧化成棕色，中性溶液略显蓝色荧光。
制备方法：以2-萘酚为原料，经碱熔、亚硝化、磺化而得。原料消耗定额：2-萘酚（99%）840kg/t、亚硫酸氢钠（98%）1500kg/t、硫酸（92.5%）1600kg/t。
用途：酸性媒介染料及酸性络合染料中间体。用于制造酸性络合桃红B、酸性媒介黑R和酸性络合盐GGN、酸性媒介枣BN等。也用于比色法测定磷酸盐及钙盐。
