二羟基聚醚也称为聚醚二元醇，俗称丙二醇聚醚，无色或淡黄色透明油状液体，有苦味。难溶于水，溶于乙二醇、苯等有机溶剂。可燃，无毒。国产牌号N-210、N-220、N-240。
用于合成聚氨酯．也可用作环氧树脂的增韧剂。存于阴凉、通风、干燥的库房内，密封、防潮。
