This invention relates to an electrochemical capacitor and it's making method, which belongs to the electrochemical energy storage and transforming device process field. Inside the electrochemical capacitor there has the positive pole, cathode, dissepiment and electrolyte, wherein the cathode is the active carbon, the dissepiment is between the positive pole and the cathode, the oxide of the positive argent is Ag0 or the admixture of Ag0 and Ag20. The making method includes the active carbon cathode and the argent oxide's preparation and assembling. The passive pole uses argent net as conductive frame, argent powder as active material, which is made through pressing argent powder on the argent net with the plate impression. Or it is obtained through the following steps: mixing the argent, conductive agent, binder and solvent up, stirring them into the cream, then smearing them to the silver foil, drying, pressing into the pole plate. Or it is obtained through the following steps: mixing the argent oxide, conductive agent, binder and solvent up, stirring them into the cream, then smearing them to the silver foil, drying, pressing into the passive pole plate. This invention has many advantages, such as high voltage, high power capability, and simple operation, stable quality and so on. |
