The invention discloses a locating method and device of coke block from transmission line rotary table to receiving device, which is characterized by the following: adapting three couples of photoelectric switch to detect the coke block on the rotary table; setting two couples of photoelectric switch on two edges of rotary table separately; making the right rotation coke block lying between two couples of photoelectric switch axle without detecting by switch; setting the third couples of photoelectric switch between two couples of photoelectric switch to detect the coke block on the rotary table. The invention can detect and locate the coke block, which prevents coke block from colliding or blocking when the coke is pushed to the receiving device by rotary table.
