The invention relates to a method for filtering important mails and sending short messages to user. The method comprises: mail server provides user an important carbon copy password with some characters; when others send user e-mails, if they input correct the important mail carbon copy password in 'cc' box of the mail-sending software, the server sends the mail arrival information to user via mobile phone short messages.
