A stirrer adapted to easily stir the content of a lid-equipped container, such as a teapot or kettle, with the lid in the closing position, so as to shorten the time taken to brew tea; and a lid-equipped container having the stirrer. A teapot (1) has a lid (6), which is placed on an upper opening in a main body (2). The lid (6) is formed with an air hole (H) laterally of a knob (7), and a stirrer (10) is attached to this air hole (H). The stirrer (10) has a stirring section (13) connected to the front end of a stick (12). The stirring section (13) preferably spirally extends axially of the stick (12). Further, such spiral stirring section (13) is formed preferably of a coil spring of metal or the like. Further, the end of the stick (12) opposite to the stirring section (13) is preferably provided with a removable grip (14) that prevents the stick (12) from slipping off from the air hole (H). |
