nature : thermosetting resin made of synthetic resin adhesive. Some have joined curing agent. Characteristics of heat and water resistance, solvents, low creep, high bond strength. Weakness is shock, stripping initial bond strength and poor. Lap after curing to increase pressure. Major varieties are phenolic, urea - formaldehyde, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, silicone, polyimide and Polybenzimidazole so.
